Late this afternoon the body of Jake Marsh was found in a pool of blood on the stairs of his apartment building. Groceries were spilled along the stairwell and in typical mob movie cliché fashion the milk was intermingled with the blood that ran down to pool up on the landing.
An amateur news reporter trying to make a difference in the city Jake had only been with the News team for a few seasons. He was warned by friends and colleagues against giving his actual street address out in a city this violent and their worst fears were realized today.
Three bullets, one to the head and two to the chest, ended the life of this aspiring writer and has pushed the news staff into overdrive to get another reporter out on the streets to cover what the FBI claims will be one of the biggest round up’s of known Mafioso in years.
